Buubu Gujin Aboriginal Corporation

Buubu Gujin Aboriginal Corporation are the owner and land holding entity for Daarrba, Melsonby (Gaarraay), Muundhi (Jack River) and Juunju Daarrba Nhirrpan National Parks (CYPAL). These lands are held by the Corporation as trustee for the Aboriginal people particularly concerned with the land. The Corporation is required to manage these lands jointly with Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) under.an Indigenous Management Agreement (IMA). The Directors of the Corporation jointly make decisions on how best to manage the natural and cultural values of these areas. The Corporation seek to articulate the aspirations for Country of the five respective Clan Groups who have Traditional affiliation and custodial responsibilities for these areas.

Laura Rangers

The Laura Rangers are composed of Traditional Owners for the area surrounding Laura, and community members who have historical connection to country. The group has been operational since 2010 and is funded through the Queensland Land and Sea Ranger Program. During this time, they have managed the cultural and environmental values of the Agarra Timara Aboriginal Freehold and surrounding country. This area comprises the core of the Quinkan body of rock art and the focus of the group is locating and documenting cultural sites, and managing visitor impacts at sites open to the public.

Balngarrawarra Aboriginal Corporation

Balnggarrawarra Aboriginal Corporation are the owner and land holding entity for Ngaynggarr National Park (CYPAL) (Cape York Peninsula Aboriginal Land). The Corporation is required to manage this land jointly with Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) under an Indigenous Management Agreement (IMA). The Directors of the Corporation jointly make decisions on how best to manage the natural and cultural values of these areas. This project represents the first real opportunity for our Corporation to be involved in a capacity building project that will set the path for future management of the Park. ln particular, we are interested in partnerships with researchers who can help us to systematically undertake cultural mapping and develop strategies to ensure our cultural places will survive into the future and can be enjoyed by everyone.

South Cape York Catchments

South Cape York Catchments Inc. (SCYC) is a representative community based not-for-profit organisation with 18 years of experience conducting natural and cultural resource management projects on Cape York. SCYC is comprised of stakeholders, general members and an executive committee. The Ranger Program has developed over the last seven years into an experienced team capable of undertaking cultural heritage conservation and land management activities across Melsonby Landholdings and Normanby Station.

Cape Melville, Flinders and Howick Islands Aboriginal Corporation

CMFHIAC are the owner and land holding entity for Cape Melville, Flinders Group and Howick Group National Parks (CYPAL) (Cape York Peninsula Aboriginal Land). These lands are held by the Corporation as trustee for the Aboriginal people particularly concerned with the land The Corporation is required to manage these lands jointly with Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) under an Indigenous Management Agreement (IMA). The Corporation seek to articulate the aspirations for Country of the five respective clan groups who have Traditional affiliation and custodial responsibilities for these areas. These clan groups include Cape Melville & Flinders Island People, Gambilmugu People, Manyamarr People, Bagarrmugu People and Muli People.

These lands are held by the Corporation as trustee for the Aboriginal people particularly concerned with the land The Corporation is required to manage these lands jointly with Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) under an Indigenous Management Agreement (IMA).

Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service

The Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS), a division of the Queensland Government Department of Environment and Science, jointly manages national parks (Cape York Peninsula Aboriginal Land) (CYPAL), with the Aboriginal Corporations that own the Aboriginal freehold land underlying those parks.

Wallis Heritage Consulting was established in 2011 as a niche cultural heritage consulting business providing services to government, Aboriginal corporation and industry clients. A critical component of our approach is developing and maintaining a strong, constructive working relationship with Aboriginal community stakeholders, community groups and the relevant regulatory authorities, whilst adhering to best archaeological and cultural heritage management practice. WHC has experience in all states and territories across Australia, with key projects in WA, NT, SA and QLD. We are actively engaged in shaping heritage standards through our extensive involvements in professional, academic and community organisations.

K2fly is a Stock Exchange listed (ASX: K2F) enterprise software provider serving asset intensive businesses since 2016, with headquarters in Perth, Australia, that delivers enterprise-wide technical assurance solutions for environment, social and governance (ESG) performance. The heritage management system they are developing for this project is a secure, customisable online platform that enables stakeholders, including Traditional Owners, to regain data sovereignty, apply cultural protocols, improve governance and unlock social and economic opportunities for current and future generations.

The Keeping Place is an Aboriginal owned not-for-profit organisation that provides geospatial cultural heritage and land management software to Traditional Owner groups. The Keeping Place is built on a shared ownership model, where all the Traditional Owner groups that purchase the software join as member-owners of the organisation.
